ABOUT US
Boots and Moon is a female-led theatre company that creates fun and explorative work for all ages. We combine music, puppetry and storytelling to explore the magic in the world around us.
After training together at Rose Bruford and playing with recycled materials in our home to build Boots and Moon the paper puppets, an idea was formed. Our desire for telling magical stories together became apparent, and the theatre company was created.
Since 2022 we have been delivering creative, sensory focused workshops for young people in Devon. In 2023 we produced our debut production; Finders Keepers. Watch this space for further projects this year.
Meet the Team
LIZI BENNETT
Lizi is an Actor-Musician who has recently returned to Exeter after studying for an MA at Rose Bruford College. As well as a performer Lizi is a seasoned writer, facilitator and prop maker and has worked regularly with many theatre companies in the South West; Pocketwatch Theatre Company, Four of Swords, Angelheart, Rattlebox Theatre and Stiltskin being just a few.
ERIN RYDAL
Erin is an Actor-Musician specialising in woodwind and piano. Since graduating from Rose Bruford in early 2022, she has performed with Quantum Theatre, Frozen Light, and Rusticus. In November 2022, Erin was the Musical Director for Lesbian Space Crime at The Soho Theatre, and in 2023 is looking forward to running away with Gifford’s Circus as one of their live musicians. Boots & Moon is an exciting opportunity for Erin to explore music and theatre-making in a playful environment, aiming to create some inspiring landscapes for eager audiences!
ROSA HIGGS
Rosa is an actor, theatre maker and seasoned facilitator who believes in the power in theatre for all. After graduating from Rose Bruford, Rosa has been producing and delivering creative and sensory workshops for Little Angel Theatre, whilst also developing her skills as a puppeteer. Rosa is delighted to be collaborating on Boots & Moon, and can’t wait to share her expertise in children’s theatre to produce some magical work.
